"A great tool to spread the successes of existing environmental programs."
- Mary Edie, Outreach Director Center for Environmental Education
Generation Earth is an action-packed survey of hands-on environmental programs. The video's two college-age producers take viewers across America as they search for successful projects in both rural and urban schools.
They find students involved in a wide range of creative activities in their schools and communities. These include environmental auditing of their campuses and local businesses, monitoring water quality, gardening and composting, mentoring younger students, seeking environmental justice, writing letters, and creating slide shows, documentaries and newspapers.
Your students will be inspired by the video. A 46-page reference manual describes each program in detail, including contacts and sources for each program, state-by-state environmental education contacts, and fundraising information.
